The recent Expert Meeting in Puglia concluded with participants returning inspired and energized, ready to address upcoming challenges. The gathering fostered intensive discussions, strategic planning, and valuable knowledge exchange, providing insights to help define the next steps for future initiatives.

The meeting began with an engaging presentation on the ENAC PUGLIA training model and the local VET (Vocational Education and Training) system, offering an understanding of Italian vocational education practices that could serve as a valuable model for future efforts. A Q&A session followed, where participants analyzed aspects of the system that might be applied in their own projects, as  VET2sustain project.

Following this, the group took part in workshops with ENAC PUGLIA students, gaining practical insights into educational challenges through direct interaction with students in their learning environments. Observing the students’ motivation and work methods inspired participants to rethink and adapt their training approaches to better meet evolving needs.

The meeting also included moments of immersion in the local culture. Participants visited a traditional pastry shop to sample local baked goods and took a refreshing excursion to Foggia’s historic center. Strolling through the charming streets and admiring the city’s architecture sparked further creative thinking. These cultural experiences fostered team integration and recharged participants’ energy, essential for their return to daily responsibilities.

The skills and insights developed during this meeting are directly applicable to the VET2Sustain project, enhancing the team’s capacity to integrate diverse, hands-on educational approaches into vocational training frameworks. The firsthand exposure to ENAC PUGLIA’s training model and student interactions enriched the team’s understanding of practical, learner-centered strategies. These experiences empower participant of VET2Sustain to further strengthen educational methods that align with the European Union’s goals for sustainable vocational training, supporting a responsive, skill-based approach to meet evolving industry needs.
